Platforms and Tools that we use

Our platforms and tools are carefully selected to provide our clients with the best experience and recommend the best solutions depending on their needs. We know that there is no such thing as "one solution fits all", which is why we provide each client with solutions tailored to their unique business model, requirements and so on.

Based on the following platforms and tools, we are able to choose the best technology stack to lower the cost of software development without losing code quality and clients experience at the same time.

The following references may expand in the future, because we are constantly learning and testing what is new on the market. In order to remain experts in the field of e-commerce, we can not limit ourselves to one e-commerce platform and a tool stack

eCommerce Platforms

Magento - Cloud, Commerce, Community

This is a popular platform suitable for most of the stores we work on. Magento is mainly built for B2C clients, but can support less complex B2B stores. The biggest advantage is the ability to extend - basically we have no restrictions on expanding Magento 2.

We have three options: Community, Commerce and Commerce Cloud. The Community is an Open Source version that is not hosted. The feature set is somewhat limited, but you can expand it to suit all needs. The next two versions can be bought either as their standard, on-premise offering (Commerce), or bought as Commerce Cloud, which is hosted by Magento on their AWS stack with fully configured environment and integrated source control management system (GIT). Advanced technologies used in Magento 2 Commerce Cloud certainly deserve to be treated as advantages:

  • Fastly for CDN and caching (based on Varnish)
  • Blackfire Profiler for performance testing
  • New Relic APM for performance testing

We also support clients with Magento 1 stores, but we strongly recommend migration to Magento 2 to them. More information on migration here

Shopify and Shopify Plus

Shopify is the most popular SaaS app. This is the main difference between the eCommerce platforms described here.

It is not as flexible as Magento, but not all stores need Magento flexibility. The platform allows creating online stores without coding. No software installations or hosting services are required - only a web browser is needed.

Shopify includes Web Hosting and you do not need to register in any external hosting service. It is known as a cloud-hosted ecommerce platform.

Shopify Plus has a higher level of tools and more features than Shopify. You also gain the ability to scale the store.

Sylius and Sylius Plus

It is an eCommerce platform based on Symfony and has huge development potential. Currently popular only in Europe.

It is much easier to build your internal team to take over the project after development.

Syluis is very flexible and there is no technological debt compared to other solutions.

It is extremely flexible and easy to use. Sylius has a wide and friendly community, maybe not as big as other platforms described, but they are always ready to help with any issue.

Sylius Plus is quite new (2019), but it contains a set of functions for enterprises and technical support from its creators.

The main advantages compared to the Open Source solution are:

  • Returns Management (RMA)
  • Multi-source Inventory
  • Advanced User Permissions
  • Enhanced performance, security & monitoring

ORO Commerce (CE and EE)

A solution for stores focusing mainly on B2B sales. It contains many features that will not be used in B2C stores. OroCommerce comes in two versions: Community Edition (CE) and Enterprise Edition (EE). A full list of features can be found here .

A big advantage is the strong team standing behind this platform. It was created by a very experienced trio: Yoav Kutner (founder of Magento and former CTO of the company), Dima Soroka (his friend and nevertheless a talented architect) and Jara Carter, former Vice President of Sales Magento and co-founder of OroCommerce.

OroCommerce is equipped with out-of-the-box e-commerce functionalities that allow you to oversee company accounts, store many price lists and display products in general and specific catalogs.

Business customers can buy online without talking to sales representatives - just like the new Amazon offer for businesses.
